| My Questions for You
I have questions! If you have the answers to any of these, please let me know in the form below (or e-mail me: katrina (at) stonoff (dot) com). If you want a response (with profuse gratitude heaped on your beehive), be sure and leave your e-mail address.
My latest novel involves a young wife leaving a polygamous marriage. - I know many polygamists families put their children in public schools, and that many do not have birth certificates. Do schools in Utah not require birth certificates?
Miscellaneous Other questions:- What do you call the snowsuit-type-thingy you zip a baby into in cold climates? I've been in the maritimes too long!
- Are there mountains west of
Salt Lake City? The Wasatch Range is east, correct? But when you're
watching the sunset, what does it set behind, if anything?
- Exactly what month was the movie Babel released in Utah?
- How early did Utah movie theaters start promoting The Nativity Story?
I also still need information about Lordsburg, NM (a scene in East of Jesus). Thank you to the person who answered question #2! I still need the other three however. Does anyone know the answer to these?
- If you're driving in from Duncan, AZ, what's the first
thing you see? Is it a sprinkling of outlying homes, getting thicker
and thicker until you go through a residential area? That's what it
looks like on Yahoo Maps.
- Next, if you go east from Main
Street on East "A" Street and follow the curve around the power plant,
you end up on a road that runs mostly NE. It intersects twice with Goil
Hill Road (it might be Goll Hill or even Golf Hill; my map is hard to
read) and eventually goes up into the mountains. What is the name of
that road? Is it dirt or chipseal or pavement?
- Eventually
(but before you reach the mountains), the road intersects with another
road that runs NW/SE (and eventually intersects with Highway 90 and
keeps going). What is the name of that road?
- Staying on the
unnamed road you started from, just past the intersection, there is an
industrial plant of some kind, maybe a wastewater treatment plant?
Anybody know for sure?
